This blog is about the beginnings of anyone or anything that you can find on or around Salt Spring Island, including the island itself. This blog tries to answer questions like: Where did they come from?  How did it evolve? and How did she find her home.  Although my expertise is science and nature, I also plan to research and report on local history. My sources are my university education, old textbooks, internet research and personal experience.
